A Dam Good Sports Bar at The Tropicana is A Dam Good Time!

October 11, 2010 in Travelogues by Ash Del

The Quarter inside The Tropicana is home to some of the best restaurants and nightlife venues in Atlantic City. Giant palm trees, fountains, strings of beautiful lights, and an everlasting blue sky set the scene as you stroll through three levels of shopping and dining. On the third floor is where you can find A Dam Good Sports Bar, no pun intended, it's actually called "A Dam Good Sports Bar" and, no pun intended, but that's exactly what it is.

The majority of the restaurants and bars inside The Quarter are pretty upscale with dress codes and cover charges, and rarely any drink specials, but that's exactly what sets The Sports Bar apart from the rest. It's a mix of three things; (1) an all-American type eatery, (2) a favorite local hang out, and (3) a high energy night spot with a DJ, two bars and plenty of room to dance.

The second you walk in you immediately feel the laid back beach vibes. Surf boards hang above the giant round stainless steel bar which is illuminated by colored lights, which create the perfect ambiance to kick back and enjoy your beer. It's a huge space with plenty of room at the bar, high-top tables, booths, couches, and ANOTHER bar located in the back of the restaurant. As many times as I've been there, there has never been a wait for a table or a spot at the bar. And no matter where you sit, you always have a clear view of a TV. There are over 15 hi-def plasma screen TV's, and three 110' mega screen projectors! Needless to say, it's probably one of, if not the best place within any casino in the city to watch your team. In addition, there are three billiard tables right inside the bar, which also makes The Sports Bar the only billiard room in AC.

A Dam Good Sports Bar has made its name because of its awesome drink specials: $5 40oz bottled beers, and $9 bottles of BareFoot wine! And to top it off, you can enjoy these specials all day, everyday of the week from Sunday through Friday. On Friday and Saturday nights they have $3 shot specials at the back bar. There is absolutely no dress code, and it's also bachelor & bachelorette party friendly.

Their menu includes classic burgers and wings to appetizer specials such as $5 basket of tacos, and $5 personal pizzas.

They always have plenty of room for huge parties.  Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night they have awesome DJ's that play classic party music and hot remixes of all your favorite songs. Not to mention that their bar and wait staff are extremely friendly and down to earth.

Hands down, A Dam Good Sports Bar is the best sports bar in AC, with the best drink specials, and the best staff. Every time I go there I have an amazing night, and I am positive that if you go, grab a 40oz and party, you will too.

The Pool After Dark every Wednesday at Harrah's Atlantic City!

October 10, 2010 in News by Ash Del

Every Wednesday night, The Pool at Harrah's Casino and Resort in Atlantic City turns into a one of a kind nightclub experience. You'll feel miles and miles away from AC the second you step into the mammoth glass dome that covers the exquisite pool. Palm trees and private cabanas line the massive pool, which is illuminated with multicolored lights that change with the music, not to mention the fountains which seem to dance along with you to the beat. Lights of purple and blue reflect off of the glass ceiling as beautiful cabana girls in teeny weeny white bikinis serve you your drinks. Still feel like the typical night out in AC to you? I didn't think so! The Pool After Dark takes place every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, but the best night to go is definitely Wednesday. Read More >

Saturday Night Fever is Easy to Catch at Boogie Nights!

October 7, 2010 in Travelogues by Ash Del

Boogie Nights inside the Resorts Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City was voted "Best Dance Club" and "Best Place to Bring a Date" by the 2009 Atlantic City Nightlife Awards, and it was well deserved. Boogie Nights is the most fun I've had at an Atlantic City nightclub all summer long. I went to Boogie Nights at the end of August with a few friends as an end of summer celebration, and it was a great experience from the moment we walked in the door. There was no long line, and a cover charge of only $15 at the door. The dress code is casual party clothes, nothing too fancy and no silly requirements like "trendy upscale attire." The woman who checked out ID's and gave us wristbands was very friendly and extremely welcoming. Read More >
