- Octo(BEER)fest is the British Beer Company's (in Walpole, MA) annual mini Beer Fest, taking place on Saturday, September 24th, 2011. There will be a tent out front of the pub with 20 breweries participating and 75 different beers available to sample. Paulaner will also be at the event with their mobile beer truck. There will be live music out on the patio with the Racky Thomas Band. The BBC will be offering free cheese for pairings and free beer soaked sausage and brats for noshing.

- HarborArts is hosting a One-Year Anniversary Celebration - HarborArtsFest - for their exhibition of 30 large-scale outdoor pieces of public art by artists from three continents, curated by Randi Hopkins from the ICA. The International Outdoor Gallery is a collection of "art with a purpose." They would like to invite you to engage in this celebration with us and the Boston art community on September 24th, 2011. - Old Sturbridge Village celebrates one of the hallmarks of autumn in New England – the apple harvest – during its annual Apple Days, October 1st & 2nd, 2011. Visitors can taste nearly forgotten heirloom apple varieties and mulled cider, help the farmers harvest apples, try their hands at cider-making, and see the ox-powered Cider Mill in operation grinding and pressing apples. Village craftsmen will demonstrate their trades by making apple-related products such as apple pie plates at the Pottery, mulling irons in the Blacksmith Shop, and apple corers in the Tin Shop.
