The Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre 2012 Season: May 5 - December 28, 2012

Neil Diamond, Kristin Chenoweth, Vicente Fernandez and Jenni Rivera are just a few of the world-renowned artists headed to The Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre this year as part of the annual joint subscription program, Premiere Marquee Club (PMC). The Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre 2012 Season will kick off May 5th, 2012 and run through December 28th, 2012.

The 2012 PMC lineup offers fans a wide array of great live shows ranging from rock veterans to emerging stars and much more. Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Hot August Night, rock and pop icon Neil Diamond will return to the legendary Greek Theatre in August performing all of his hits. Los Lobos kicks off The Greek Theatre season with their Cinco de Mayo Festival featuring Neko Case & Alejandro Escovedo plus special guests X and Mariachi El Bronx. REO Speedwagon, STYX and Ted Nugent will join forces for “The Midwest Rock ‘n Roll Express” tour on May 6th, Emmy and Tony Award Winner, Kristin Chenoweth will grace the Greek stage on May 12th and Sugarland will return on May 22nd. In June, video game fans and music lovers will experience Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses and on June 8th Primus will perform with special guest Fishbone. Joe Cocker will co-headline with Huey Lewis and the News on August 15th and riding on the heels of her first release in seven years, 'Slipstream,’ Bonnie Raitt will perform on Sept. 22nd with special guest Mavis Staples. Rounding out the season is the legendary electronic music producer, Amon Tobin who makes his Greek Theatre debut on Oct. 12th with ISAM Live.

Show En Vivo! El Chavo Del Ocho Animado! leads off Gibson Amphitheatre’s PMC season on May 12th. In June, Freestyle Explosion, featuring Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, Exposé and many more, returns on the 8th followed by Conjunto Primavera y Los Rieleros del Norte on the 23rd and singer/songwriter Franco de Vita on the 24th. In July, Chicago and The Doobie Brothers will bring their co-headlining tour to Los Angeles on the 15th. Barenaked Ladies and Blues Traveler will play on the 27th with Big Head Todd and The Monsters and Cracker. Gibson will also host the star-studded 2012 Teen Choice Awards on July 22nd. In September, multi-platinum superstar Jenni Rivera will perform on the 7th, Marco Antonio Solis will take the stage on the 22nd followed by world-renowned vocal trio Il Volo on the 27th. November will see iconic troubadour Vicente Fernandez return to the Gibson stage for a pair of concerts on the 9th and 10th as part of his “La Gira Del Adios” tour accompanied by his son, Vicente Fernandez, Jr. International superstar Cristian Castro will also perform at the Amphitheatre. In addition to concerts and special events, Gibson’s PMC slate will also feature comedy: Larry The Cable Guy and Bill Engvall will team up for an October 11th show and Gabriel Iglesias will close the year in hilarious fashion with a return “Stand-Up Revolution Tour” engagement on December 28th.
