The Downtown Disney District offers visitors a place to go for a leisurely stroll, delightful eating, unmatched shopping, or, if needed, just a respite from the hubbub of the theme parks. From morning to evening, the entertainment never stops; more awaits you outside the park.

Ideally situated amid the two California Disney theme parks, Disneyland and California Adventure, and the Disneyland Resort hotels, Downtown Disney is an entertainment and shopping district catering to both local residents and theme park attendees.

Buy all things Disney, from toys to clothing, at World of Disney. Visit Studio Disney 365—or take your aspiring child—to Be a Star and Walk the Red Carpet on a Disneyesque sound stage, of course. Or if you're in the mood for something a little more familiar, stop by the Build-a-Bear Workshop or Sephora.

Compass Books takes you back to a 1900s Explorers Club reminiscent of Indiana Jones, complete with a giant globe, where reading is an adventure. If trendsetting is more your style, visit the kitson kids store, a celebrity shopping hot spot carrying the latest children's clothing and accessories. The newest shopping attraction in Downtown Disney is RIDEMAKERZ®, where kids of all ages can customize and build a remote control vehicle.

Transport yourself to the heyday of the silver screen with a visit to the AMC Theater, which carries the ambiance of a 1920s movie theater with its loveseat-style seating. Go to the House of Blues stage to see, hear, and dance to world-renowned and regional entertainers as they perform blues, R&B, Latin, reggae, or hip-hop.

For your dining pleasure, Downtown Disney offers fine dining at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen®. With all the sights, sounds and tastes of New Orleans, this attraction transports you to Bourbon Street, jazz music included. A casual dining attraction for smaller guests, the Rainforest Cafe® serves meals in a tropical rainforest setting, complete with colorful parrots and thundering rain showers.

Disney Resort visitors gain entrance to Downtown Disney from either the Monorail or on foot.
