Celebrate Lāhainā's rich royal legacy and the 175th birthday of HM King Kalākaua on Saturday, November 12th, 2011.The evening Lū`au features Kumu Hula Auli`i Mitchell who will bring the story of King Kalākaua to life through ancient protocols of song and dance. Tickets for the Lū`au start at $45 per person or $400 for a table of 10. The daytime event is FREE and open to the entire community!

Lahaina Royal Hoike Schedule of Events

8:30am-9am: they will observe protocols in honor of HM Queen Keōpūolani and the Aliʻi interred at the Waineʻe Royal Mausoleum. All are welcome to join.

9am-4pm: they will feature Silent Auction, live music, Hula dancing, ono food, crafts, Hawaiian games, cultural demonstrations, historical dispalys, and more. Free & Fun! Come and buy food or items supporting our community non-profits and local artisans.

5pm-8pm: the evening will come to life with a festive Luʻau and Hōʻike. During their Luʻau you will feast on Hawaiian food while enjoying beautiful music. This then flows into our Hōʻike where you will witness the story of HM King Kalākaua in honor of his 175th birthday.
