Destined to transform Wailea Beach and local venues with its five days of cinema merriment, the Maui Film Festival is set for June 13-17th, 2012 and welcomes filmmakers, industry luminaries and a diverse audience of movie lovers from around the world to share in the festival's mission of compassionate and transformative storytelling. Since its inception in 2000, the festival has developed a reputation as one of the most exciting of Maui events, drawing a large crowd of attendees many of whom call "The Valley Isle" their home and others who think of it as their home away from home.
Consistently drawing top talent and award-winning films, the event's highlight is undoubtedly the "Celestial Cinema", where moviegoers can sprawl on the lawn of the Wailea golf course to view and vote for breakout films while nestled under a warm blanket of stars.
Festival passes start at $40. For more information, visit: www.mauifilmfestival.com/
