Let's face it. You're eventually going to wear yourself out walking all over New York's streets, up and down subway stairwells, and in and out of towering buildings. That's when it's time to let someone else take over the reins, literally. Yes, we're talking about those tranquil horse-drawn carriage rides in New York's world-famous Central Park.

As the beautiful, muscular horses trot along with carriages in tow, the clickity-clack of their hooves on the pavement puts even the most anxious minds at ease. Whether you're with friends, family or on a romantic date, horse-drawn carriage rides are a fantastic way to see the unsurpassed beauty of New York's backyard.

Carriages are lined up year-round along Central Park South between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. The cost for this incredibly memorable experience is $50 for the first 20 minutes, $20 each additional 10 minutes. Although it's a little pricey, you have to remember that it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So what's taking you so long? Your ride is waiting.
