With an assembled group of six (preferably clever and competitive) people, you'll make your reservations well in advance for a meticulously-crafted scavenger hunt through a prestigious museum or well-known neighborhood. At the beginning of your journey, teams are provided with different clues, making sure their paths will rarely conflict. These clues lead them to new locations and more clues to ultimately solve the mystery. Be mindful though that racing through museums in an attempt to beat the competition may not be the most fulfilling experience for avid art lovers.
Popular scavenger hunts include scouting movie locations in Central Park and Greenwich Village, braving Greenwich cemeteries and haunted buildings for a little ghost hunting, and unlocking murder mysteries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Natural History Museum. The Gangster's New York Scavenger Hunt is a race through gang history in off-the-beaten-track cafes, markets, and historic buildings in Little Italy and Chinatown.
