Each figure costs approximately $125,000 and takes four months to make. Once on the floor, faux celebs receive star treatment – with inspections and primping by two maintenance teams daily, washing hair and retouching make-up.
The Music Studio, one of the museum's many interactive displays, provides your, "Big Break," to buff up your rhymes alongside Biggie Smalls, Usher, and Beyoncé. Try out before Simon Cowell in the American Idol exhibit and heed his razor-tongued remarks – all recorded on DVD for purchase.
Historical and pop culture icons such as Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., Einstein, Picasso, Bob Marley, Marilyn Monroe, Janice Joplin, Gandhi, and JFK also populate the ever-changing list of nearly 200 wax figures inhabiting the museum's four floors. More recent installations include life-size versions of Obama, Hillary, Bill, and George W. – don't forget to pat your favorite politicians on the back.
