The 34th Annual Museum Mile Festival, New York City's largest block party, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12th, 2012. The event will feature free access from 6-9pm to all the museums along the mile, 23 car-free blocks, and live bands, entertainment, art-in-the-street and activities for kids on 5th avenue between 82nd & 105th street.
One day a year, for the past 34 years, ten of the country's finest museums, all ones that call Fifth Avenue home, collectively open their doors from 6pm - 9pm for free to New Yorkers and visitors for a mile-long block party and visual art celebration.- View Event >

An Open Rehearsal is a fascinating opportunity to watch the New York Philharmonic at work, and see how a piece of music is shaped and polished by the conductor and the musicians. Open Rehearsals begin at 9:45am (except where noted) in Avery Fisher Hall, and end at approximately 12:30pm (sometimes extending to 1pm, at the discretion of the conductor). Open rehearsals will run from September 21st, 2011 - June 20th, 2012.
