The 31st Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade is set for Saturday, June 22nd, 2013 at 2pm. A completely original creation of Coney Island USA, the Mermaid Parade is the nation's largest art parade and one of New York City's greatest summer events.
The Mermaid Parade is the largest art parade in the nation. Make Music New York’s flagship Punk Island is back for a sixth year! This “punk rockers’ paradise” (NY Times) will feature a high-energy lineup of over 75 bands curated by ABC No Rio‘s punk/hardcore collective, who have booked weekly punk shows in NYC for over 20 years.

Bacon Bash 2013 will bring together bacon lovers in a tasting party Sunday, June 23 at Bowlmor Times Square located on 222 West 44th Street.
Now in its sophomore year, the event, “celebrating the candy of meats,” invites local restaurants, bars and bakeries to prepare bacon-inspired treats.
Last year’s event saw dishes such as bacon chili, bacon cupcake, bacon melon balls and bacon cookies. And when it came to drink selections, bacon beer and bacon vodka were alcoholic options.

One of many New Yorkers favorite Summer festivities is the Bryant Park Film Festival, which takes place Mondays from June 17th through August 19th, 2013. The gravel surrounding the lawn opens at 4pm, and the lawn opens at 5pm, but get there early if you want a seat. Blankets are allowed, and so are food and beverages. Just make sure to bring plastic cups. No chairs, tables, dogs, plastic sheets, tarps, bags, or pads are permitted on the lawn.
