8th Annual Big Apple Film Festival: November 1 - 6, 2011

The 8th Annual Big Apple Film Festival (BAFF) will take place November 1st - 6th, 2011 at Tribeca Cinemas, and will feature 184 films including "The Fields" starring Cloris Leachman, Tara Reid, "Kevin" directed by Jay Duplass (The Puffy Chair, Baghead, Jeff Lives at Home), "The Pill" starring Noah Bean (Morning Glory) and Rachel Boston (500 Days of Summer) and much more.
This year's event will feature 184 films of all lengths and genres, as well as Q and A's with filmmakers and actors, the annual Filmmakers Party sponsored by Stella Artois and their closing night awards presentation. The festival also includes New York City premieres, interactive panel discussions with industry professionals from the New York City film community, honorary award presentations to individuals who have played an influential role in independent filmmaking in the New York City area, networking parties and events, as well as a closing night awards ceremony in which awards will be presented for achievement in filmmaking, screenwriting and acting.
This year's opening night feature is "The Fields" directed by Tom Mattera and David Mazzoni, starring Tara Reid and Cloris Leachman. The film tells the story of a young boy and his family who are terrorized by an unseen presence. For more information, visit: www.bigapplefilmfestival.com/
