The perfect place to have a party or gathering of friends, enjoy a comfortable date or pre/post dinner drink. We have a lovely Backyard Garden that is a popular oasis in the heart of the city. We've installed two heaters in the garden, so when it's chilly outside you can still enjoy it. For the first five years of our existence we had only a beer & wine license serving the finest beers and wines in the area. We now feature a full liquor license serving the best in spirits as well as the same great beer and wines as before. We feature an excellent Martini and mixed drink menu offering over 50 different Cocktails with many of our signature drinks like our Homemade Sangria, Sake Gimlet and 'Japan Cocktail' from our earlier era. Boxcar is a perfect place for a cozy date or to have a birthday or other type of party. Choose an open bar policy or a cash bar.

Woody Guthrie inspired the union movement from a table in the front - guitar in hand, while civil rights attorney's Faith Seidenberg and Karen DeCrow had to take their case to the Supreme Court to gain access. Women were finally allowed access to McSorley's in 1970! So belly up. Enter the sawdust strewn floors and history patched walls for a trip back through time.
