Wicked Comes to Honolulu!: November 24, 2012 - January 16, 2013

Wicked will debut at Honolulu's Blaisdell Concert Hall on November 24th, 2012! After breaking box office records and selling out across the country, Wicked has added Honolulu to its 2012-2013 tour, with performances scheduled for November 24th, 2012 to January 16th, 2013.
"Honolulu patrons have been asking about Wicked for years and are tremendously supportive of our efforts to bring the national touring production to Hawaii," says Broadway in Hawaii's marketing chief, Bruce Granath. "It is a great honor to be able to host the national tour of Wicked and introduce Hawaii to this musical phenomenon. Our local audiences are very welcoming and we know that Wicked will receive an incredible response once it reaches the beautiful shores of Oahu."
Based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked, winner of 35 major awards, including a Grammy® and three Tony® Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz. It is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.
Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One – born with emerald-green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, and how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
