Memorial Hall is surrounded by Fairmount Park, where you can take a stroll through acres of well-manicured parkland and view the Beaux-Arts exterior of the Hall from afar on a sun-drenched summer afternoon. Children will enjoy taking a spin on the restored 1908 carousel, whose decorative horses will captivate their imagination, located just outside the building. History enthusiasts will enjoy the classic architecture and historic significance of this Centennial building — an integral piece of national and Philadelphia history.

Step inside this National Historic Landmark to view a variety of exhibitions, works of art and events that the building has housed over the years. The distinctive iron and glass dome of Memorial Hall was built in 1876 for the Centennial Exposition (the USA's 100th birthday), and a scale model of the Centennial Exposition fairgrounds remains on display inside. The hall's most recent addition is the Please Touch Museum, an interactive museum experience designed to appeal to kids.
