The enormous and popular Hershey Park in Hershey (what else?) is billed as "The Sweetest Place On Earth" and boasts over 60 rides and attractions. It is famous for its amazing array of roller coasters but also has a wide range of tamer rides and attractions for young children (six large areas are devoted to kids), so is a destination that will please everyone. In addition, its beautiful landscaping and continuous flower displays ensures that all your time spent in the park is pleasurable, whether you're partaking in one of the many rides, or just strolling from location.
As mentioned, among its many highlights are its 11 roller coasters, rated on a "thrill" scale of moderate to high to aggressive. Among the aggressive thrill machines is the Storm Runner which rockets you from 0 to 72 mph in two seconds and includes a 90 degree drop, loops and rolls. A "high" thrill – Hershey's version of medium thrills – coaster is the 3,000-ft long Comet, the park's oldest coaster that still packs a powerful punch and features countless dips, turns, and G-forces. For a "moderate" thrill coaster, try the Trail Blazer, a gentle coaster that treats riders to a scenic journey through a ghost town.
In addition to the roller coasters, the park features many, many other rides and attractions where you can get wet – really wet – in the summer, or stay dry in cooler weather. A new section of the park, the Boardwalk, includes four huge slides, a massive water play structure, and a surfer theme.
