  • De Pueblo A Pueblo: Citywide Celebration of Mexican CultureDe Pueblo a Pueblo (From Town to Town) is an eight-week celebration in Spring 2012 that will honor Philadelphia's local Mexican community by promoting greater understanding of traditional arts, language, and history of our southern neighbors. The citywide festival will connect this growing population and their customs with a broader Philadelphia audience. The festival will run from April 27th through June 16th, 2012. Philadelphia Magic Gardens will feature Laurence Salzmann's incredible photography of La Sierra del Norte, a small village in Puebla, during the entire length of the festival.

  • Dead Sea ScrollsThe Franklin Institute and Discovery Times Square have entered into a unique arrangement with the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) to create Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Biblical Times. Premiering October 28th, 2011 at New York City’s Discovery Times Square, this new exhibition features the most comprehensive collection of ancient artifacts from Israel ever organized -- including one of the largest collections of the priceless 2000-yearold Dead Sea Scrolls ever displayed in the North America and an actual three-ton stone from the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
