35mm: Photographs from the Collection will be on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from February 11th, 2012 - May 27th, 2012. From the first roll-film Leica in the 1920s to the more familiar disposable cardboard Kodak, the hand-held 35mm camera became a ubiquitous and indispensable photographic tool in the 20th century. Its compact design permitted nearly effortless transport, easy concealment, and fast shutter speeds, and its roll film—which in many cases included up to 100 frames—allowed for a rapid advancement from one picture to the next.

41st Annual Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show: May 26 - 28, 2012

The 41st Annual Brandywine River Museum Antiques Show will take place from May 26th - 28th, 2012 from 10am - 5pm both days. The event will feature fine antiques including furniture, glass, silver, rugs, prints and more from 31 nationally-known dealers. Admission is $15 per person. All proceeds benefit the Brandywine River Museum Volunteers' Art Purchase Fund. Antiques are displayed in the Museum Courtyard, the second and third floor mill galleries, and the Museum Lecture Room.

In 1896, the Devon Horse Show started as a one-day show. Now, years later, it has become the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed competition in the United States, running from May 24th through June 3rd, 2012. It is internationally recognized, USEF-A rated, and one of the most exciting events to happen in our area. While it draws top competitors from around the world, the show continues to reflect the local traditions and lifestyles of the Philadelphia Main Line.
