Located on Lafayette Hill, just west of Chestnut Hill in Northwest Philadelphia, is the celebrated General Lafayette Inn, built in 1732. An evening at this historic inn and brewery will make you feel like you are back in the 18th century. The restaurant consists of a massive wood-burning fireplace, charming nooks and crevices, and copies of rare prints of the Lenni-Lenape Indians, its original inhabitants. Dark wood beams loom over the cozy dining room, instilling a sense of comfort and simplicity, and the scrumptious Southern and Native American-inspired menu uses only the freshest ingredients. Always on tap are least seven signature brews such as the Mead Ale (perfect for wine enthusiasts) and the malty Sunset Red Ale.
