From world-class performers of all genres to marvelous local talent, the drama of the stage is alive and well in the City of Roses. Portland Center for the Performing Arts, recognized as one of the top 10 performing arts centers in the nation, is home to over 20 companies, among them the Portland Opera, Oregon Ballet Theater, Oregon Symphony Orchestra, and Oregon's Children Theater. On a smaller scale but with no less heart is the Artists Repertory Theater, or catch some gravity-defying stunts at BodyVox Dance studio. For an impressive display of young talent, head to the public schools where the Jefferson Dancers of Jefferson High School, and the Grant High Royal Blues are both internationally recognized.
