Nature Unleashed: Inside Natural Disasters will be on view at OMSI from May 26th through September 3rd, 2012. All of nature’s power is on display at OMSI in this captivating and interactive new exhibition. From earthquakes and volcanoes to hurricanes and tornadoes, nature’s forces have shaped our dynamic planet. Throughout history, these catastrophic phenomena have affected people around the world. Nature Unleashed visitors are invited to uncover the causes of these natural disasters and find out how people cope and adapt in the aftermath. Guests can discover what triggers a volcanic eruption, witness the power of hurricane-force winds, experience the roar of a tornado as it surrounds them and monitor earthquakes around the world in real time. Guests will also learn how science is helping to better predict, respond to and prepare for future events.
