Tour de Lab, a Bike Tour of Lucky Lab Brew Pubs: September 11, 2011
Posted in: Upcoming Events
Get all dogged up and head out on a bicycle tour of all four Lucky Lab brew pubs on Tour de Lab, a benefit for DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital on Sunday, September 11th, 2011. Choose from two routes: a 18 mile Puppy course (visitis three pubs) or the 35 mile Big Dog (visits four pubs) which features climbing over Council Crest. At each of the rest stops along the way, you'll earn your dog gear (collar, nose) and enjoy human treats (pizza, bread sticks and more) as you wind your way to the finish line festival: the Dog Park at Lucky Lab Northwest.
The Dog Park features a make-your-own hot dog extravaganza, and free beer and free pint glasses for all participants flaunting their dog gear. Over 1,500 people turned out for this howling ride last year, and the event is expected to be even larger this year. Come on out for a doggone good time. While the food is anything but gourmet, beer gardens, a pet-friendly policy and beer specials have helped Lucky Labrador grow. It also has benefited from being a pit stop on Portland pub tours and even having its own biking event — the Tour de Lab. [...]
