National Comedy Theatre

Chuckles, hoots and guffaws erupt from the National Comedy Theatre in San Diego every Friday and Saturday night. With performances similar to those in Drew Carey's "Whose Line is it Anyway?," the theatre's hilarious improvisation is appropriate for all ages.

At every show, two teams of professional comedians go head to head in a comedic duel, vying to win the most laughs from the audience. But what's the show about? That's up to the audience to decide. Each 90-minute show is based entirely on audience suggestions. With clean content, each show can be a fun, interactive experience for the entire family.

The National Comedy Theatre also lets students show their funny sides, with both college and high school leagues. The premier San Diego inter-collegiate improv comedy troupe performs every Thursday night and is comprised of hand-selected improvisers from UCSD, SDSU, Grossmont, UCLA and Berkeley.

In the high school league, local teams rehearse and train with National Comedy Theatre professionals. Towards the end of the school year, the teams unleash their arsenal of jokes as they compete against other high schools at the theatre.

The National Comedy Theatre is the perfect place to find some inexpensive, giggle-inducing entrainment with friends or family.
