The San Diego Opera provides many intimate opportunities for the public to learn more about performances, actors, conductors, and of course, the music. During the Artists' Roundtable, audience members ask questions and have a chance to meet the stars. Operas' Director of Education and Outreach Dr. Nicolas Reveles and Dr. Ron Shaheen lecture in the Insight Series, illuminating opera's historical and musical background. A Taste of Opera whets your appetite while you listen to an entertaining lecture, chat with others, and enjoy a tasty meal. The series has previously been held at Sea Rocket Bistro, specializing in fresh local and sustainable seafood; the quintessential French bistro Currant Brasserie; La Gran Tapa for regional European cuisine; and in the spirit of "Peter Grimes," Churchill's Pub & Grille for a fish and chips feast.
