The impressive and diverse list of performers who've thrilled and entertained audiences from the Civic Theatre's stage includes talents that range from Louis Armstrong to Frank Zappa, from Annie Lennox to Christina Aguilera, from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to Pearl Jam, and Jerry Seinfeld. The wealth of genres that are represented include Broadway, opera, classical music, contemporary music, film, dance and comedy.

Owned by the City of San Diego and maintained by San Diego Theatres, the Civic Theatre provides a high-quality theater experience to patrons, attracts and hosts performances by great talents, and enhances San Diego's thriving theater scene. It is the region's largest and most popular performing arts venue, and seats 2,967.

Several convenient features are available to enhance your experience. Tickets are available for purchase online, over the phone, and at Ticketmaster outlets. A large parking garage is located nearby, and patrons can rent items like booster seats and binoculars. Hearing amplification devices are available for use and are free of charge, and the venue is wheelchair-accessible.

As the performing home of both Broadway/San Diego and the San Diego Opera, the Civic Theatre regularly features great musicals and operas. Past Broadway/San Diego productions include The Producers, Little Shop of Horrors, Wicked, and The King and I. Broadway/San Diego's 2010 season features familiar titles such as Grease, Rent, Fiddler on the Roof, Wicked, Spamalot, Disney's The Lion King, and Legally Blonde.
