- Formerly the Celebration for the Critters, the San Diego Zoo Food & Wine Celebration will take place on Saturday, September 24th, 2011. The fun begins at 7:30pm and includes unlimited samples from more than 175 restaurants, wine and beer vendors. The Zoo will come alive with great entertainment including the Joan Embery show, keeper talks, live music, a silent auction and a chance to win great prizes at our Critter Casino. General Admission tickets cost $90 (Fair Market Value is $60). Guests enter at 7:30pm and may enjoy the Celebration until closing at midnight.

- Come and be a part of a new unique event in Little Italy North - Art d'Strada will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2011 from noon to 8pm on India & Kettner between Grape & Laurel. This event will showcase the Arts and Design District in a "green" light", with music from local bands, artwork created by local artists from recycled and salvaged materials, and food by Little Italy North businesses and local food trucks. The recycled and salvaged material artworks will be on display in local shops and galleries.

- The San Diego Beer Fair will focus on learning all about the newest trends, styles and techniques being used at local breweries. There will also be fair entertainment, live music and interactive games for all adults young at heart. The event will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2011 at Liberty Station at Ingram Plaza. Each ticket will get an attendee 10 craft beer tasting and food samples, servings will be 4 oz. tasting as mandated by ABC. Additional tasting will be for sale at the event for $1 each, sold 5 units at a time.

- The 22nd Annual AIDS Run/Walk San Diego is the largest single-day fundraiser and non-governmental provider for HIV/AIDS programs in San Diego County. It offers a 5K walk and a 10K run at beautiful Balboa Park. A festival area presents displays and offers health information, HIV testing, refreshments, and more. The 22nd Annual AIDS Run/Walk San Diego will take place on Sunday, September 25th, 2011 from 7-11am. Admission is $35. This unique annual event includes more than 8,000 participants, volunteers, team members and donors.
