Online registration is now open for the 35th Anniversary America's Finest City Half Marathon & 5K. The event date is Sunday, August 19th, 2012. The America's Finest City Half Marathon is a great tune-up for a fall marathon. The scenic point-to-point course provides a challenging, yet fun tour of San Diego's waterfront and visitor attractions.
For the 7th consecutive year, a trio of scenic Southern California half marathons have formed an alliance to create a Half Marathon Triple Crown award to honor participants who finish all three half marathons in the same calendar year.
The 13.1-mile threesome includes the Carlsbad Half Marathon, the La Jolla Half Marathon and the America's Finest City Half Marathon. Finishers of the 2012 Half Marathon Triple Crown will receive a commemorative medal at the AFC post-race festival and be recognized on race web sites as winners of the "Half Marathon Triple Crown - 39.3 Miles of Paradise." Don't be fooled by imitators - this is the Original Half Marathon Triple Crown
