Join us for our 1st Annual Downtown San Mateo SummerFest! Enjoy a variety of fun summertime activities as you stroll through historic downtown San Mateo, known as the preferred downtown destination for shopping, dining, working, living, and meeting on the San Francisco Peninsula.
Downtown San Mateo is located in the heart of the Peninsula, just 15 miles south of San Francisco, six miles south of SFO, twelve miles north of Palo Alto, and two miles north of the San Mateo Bridge. Given its central location, this new free Festival is sure to draw a large Bay Area crowd of Festival enthusiasts.
The Northern California Cruisers Car Club are hosting their 22nd annual Classic Car Show for 1975 and older, All-American made, classic cars and trucks. It is a cool car show and fun for the entire family. It is held on closed -off, San Pablo Avenue, and in the very nice Fernandez Park in the heart of old town Pinole. All the many restaurants and local boutiques in the area are opened. The car show has live rockabilly music by the popular Dave Crimmen Band and "tunes in the park" by the local DJ, Vince Pistello.
The Pacific Islanders' Cultural Association (PICA) will be holding its annual Aloha Festival in August! For this year's event, we are again at the San Mateo County Event Center (home of the San Mateo County Fair) in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. Admission is still free!
The Pacific Islanders of the San Francisco Bay Area offer their talents in music and dance during this FREE ADMISSION, two-day festival of arts held during the first full weekend of every August. Entertainment highlights include Pacific Islander music as well as Polynesian dance.
The Ceramics Annual of America (CAA) is an ambitious exhibition and art fair spotlighting the quality and diversity of contemporary ceramics from around the world including works from China, Korea, Mexico, Australia and Italy.
