Golden Gate Park, enough said. This urban green space is among the finest in the world and the hallmark of San Francisco's parks and gardens. GGP has windmills, a merry-go-round, a polo field, museums, botanical gardens, bison, trails, a disc golf course and more park than you'll ever need. While GGP gets most of the attention, other San Fran parks are equally as stunning. Buena Vista has great views of the city, while Stern Grove, Lincoln Park, and John McLaren Park offer a great escape for any city dweller. Then there is the Presidio, the city's largest park with over 1,490 acres of greenery and a certain recognizable icon - the Golden Gate Bridge – a pilgrimage that any visitor needs to make.
