Chestnut Street in San Francisco's Marina district is a boutique lover's sanctuary. One of the neighborhoods closest to the Golden Gate Bridge, Chestnut Street exudes a vivacious, fashion-forward atmosphere. In addition to fabulous shopping, Chestnut Street is lined with some of the city's most acclaimed restaurants, beauty salons, bars, and specialty stores.

Y &I Clothing Boutique for women is a superior shop for a chic pair of jeans, slimming party top or a sexy outfit. Popping over to Red Dot, Two Skirts or Dress, is also an excellent choice for the ladies. For the men, Jack's on Chestnut displays the latest and most edgy gear. For guys and girls, Dylan Boutique supplies the most unique and fashion forward clothing pieces. This hip neighborhood is also equipped with nationally recognized shopping destinations such as the Apple Store, GAP Body, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn.

Of course, a day of shopping simply wouldn't be complete without testing the fine cuisine along Chestnut Street. For an upscale atmosphere, highly renowned A-16 has mastered the food of the Southern Italian regions. For those partial to local and organic, eateries like Blue Barn and the Plant consistently draw lines. Appealing mostly to the after-work crowd and happy hour lovers, Mamacita is a terrific choice for Southwestern food and killer margaritas. While the Grove, Squat & Gobble, and Judy's draw the biggest mid-day, weekend brunch crowds, Ace Wasabi Rock & Roll Sushi, Isa, and Laiola are most popular for evening dining.

If the mood calls for a nice glass of wine and conversational atmosphere, the California Wine Merchant or BIN 38 both deliver astute wine selections and tapas plates. For casual cocktails or a good beer, local hangouts like Delaney's, Monaghan's or recently opened Tipsy Pig, always roar with energy.

The beauty of the Marina found on Chestnut Street would not be complete without its many beautiful people. Beauty and Nail Salons are some of the most sought after establishments in the area. For an inexpensive mani/pedi or waxing, Ciao Bella, Elegant, or Silk Nail Salons do an outstanding job. For all make-up needs or maybe even a brow touch-up, Benefit Cosmetics has anything and everything.

Though sometimes rowdy, Chestnut Street is known for its class and appeal. Visitors will immediately see why this is one of the most desirable places to live in the city.
