- The 11th annual National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress, will become a two-day event this year. The festival will be held on the National Mall between 9th and 14th Streets on Saturday, September 24th, from 10am - 5:30pm and on Sunday, September 25th, 2011 from 1-5:30pm, rain or shine. The event is free and open to the public. Several festival-related events will take place in the weeks preceding the beloved yearly festival, which celebrates the joys of books and reading.

On Saturday, December 3rd, 2011, Steve-O, the star of MTV's Jackass and Wildboyz and ABC's Dancing with the Stars will host a fundraiser to benefit The Kindness Collective at Busboys and Poets in Washington, DC. Guests of the event will be able to meet Steve-O, take a photo with the star, and have a copy of his book signed.
The December 3rd event will occur from 1 to 2pm in the loft of Busboys and Poets, located at 1025 5th St. NW DC. Free tickets may be obtained at guestlistapp.com/events/78474. An $8 donation is requested. - View Event >

4 DC food bloggers team up with 4 DC top chefs to serve up American Lamb dishes and compete for American Lamb Pro-Am supremacy on Sunday, March 4th, 2012 at the Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC. The event will be from 3-5pm. Local fans will gather to sample the dishes created by the blogger/chef teams, sip delicious wine/beer and vote on their favorite dish.
