- Help kick off the 2011-2012 Washington Ballet Season by celebrating in Jazz Age style at The Great Gatsby Prohibition Party at the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, September 30th, 2011. The Ballet Soirée will transform the grand United States Chamber of Commerce into a glamourous 1920s speakeasy for a celebration of Septime Webre’s adaptation of the classic novel The Great Gatsby. Guests will be treated to prohibition cocktails, savory cuisine and sultry entertainment, including a performance by The Washington Ballet’s dancers.
