The Choral Arts Society of Washington presents Holiday Treasures from Russia at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall on Monday, December 19th, 2011 at 7pm, Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 7pm and Saturday, December 24th, 2011 at 1pm.
This longtime holiday crowd pleaser will faithfully delight audiences with a magical mix of Russian carols, Christmas classics, beloved sing-alongs, and popular holiday standards. Joined by the world-acclaimed 80-piece Ural Philharmonic Orchestra directly from the Russian Federation, this Russian feast for the ears is the only way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
The December 24th concert also features a 45-minute bonus orchestral performance of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade following the conclusion of the normal concert programming.
