Who says there's too much drama in Washington?

DC-Area Playwrights, in collaboration with Busboys and Poets, present staged readings of five short plays on topics ranging from China's imminent takeover of the U.S. to spiritual guidance from Bob Marley. The five readings take place on Wednesday, June 13th, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Zinn Room of Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD. This is the fourth installment in their popular new Beltway Drama Series.

The Five Short Plays include Reeducating Roses by Amanda Andrei, Ceasefire Chowmein by Patrick Bussink, Choreography of Cyn and Marta by Rich Espey, Dancing with Bob by Sybil Williams, and Si, Se Puede by Mary Watters.

Audience members may enjoy food and drink during the show, and are invited to participate in a 15-20 minute post-show discussion with the playwrights on their plays and writing process. $10.00 suggested donation at the door.

DC-Area Playwrights, in collaboration with Busboys and Poets, a local chain of restaurant/bookstores, began the Beltway Drama Series to showcase the diverse perspectives of local playwrights on issues of social justice and global concern.
