  • Description: If you are a huge sports fan, and are looking for something familiar, this place is excellent. With over 20 TV's featuring different games, you won't miss a thing. The food is a bit pricey considering it's a chain restaurant, but it's well worth it if you're looking to have a good time, watch the game and play a few video gamees.

  • Hawk and Dove

  • Description: Hawk and Dawn is definitely one of the best bars in the Capitol Hill area. The bar's six rooms provide plenty of options and room for a post-softball gathering, a quick drink or an almost-quiet conversation in front of the fireplace. Sandwiches and burgers are available until 1am weeknights or 2am weekends. The sidewalk seating makes Hawk and Dove a summe favorite. Happy hour is from 4-7pm and includes $1.95 domestic bottles, and $2 rail drinks. Weekend brunch is also very popular among locals, starting at 10am and going until 3:30pm.

  • Description: Phase 1 labels themselves as '...the oldest lesbian bar in the country.' Phase 1 is the only lesbian bar in DC, and is the 'it' place. They have something for everyone, from dance music to pool tables to strong drinks.

  • Remingtons

  • Description: Remingtons is the only gay cowboy bar in the DC area. Remingtons has over 6,000 square feet of dancing room, 2 levels and 4 bars. They're also known for the 'best karaoke' in DC by locals. The staff is friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is fun! Oh, and they also offer line dancing lessons.

  • Description: Tune Inn is one of the greatest neighborhood bars in DC. It's actually become a kind of institution. National magazines such as Esquire, among several others, have named it one of the best bars in the country. A fun fact is that JFK frequently ate at the Tune while he was in the Senate. It is said he always sat in the second booth on the left. Also note that Tune Inn was just included in a new book of the 100 best burger places in the country.
