If you're looking for a classy upscale bar, then Dan's is not it. Dan's is definitely a dive. But a great dive. One of the best dives in DC. With excellent prices on drinks, a fun laid back atmosphere and a bunch of drunken fun.

- Description: Hawk and Dawn is definitely one of the best bars in the Capitol Hill area. The bar's six rooms provide plenty of options and room for a post-softball gathering, a quick drink or an almost-quiet conversation in front of the fireplace. Sandwiches and burgers are available until 1am weeknights or 2am weekends. The sidewalk seating makes Hawk and Dove a summe favorite. Happy hour is from 4-7pm and includes $1.95 domestic bottles, and $2 rail drinks. Weekend brunch is also very popular among locals, starting at 10am and going until 3:30pm.

- Description: Millie and Al's is best described as 'cozy' and 'comfy'. It's perfect for those rainy days. They're also known for their specials. Keep your eyes out, there are dollar jello shots when the light goes off on the bar. Other specials include 25 cent beers until 4pm, 50 cent beers until 5pm, $1 beers until 8, and $2 beers thereafter. Check with Millie and Al for days.

- Description: The Big Hunt has a great selection of beers and an amazing outdoor patio for those summer nights. They have 27 beers on tap, 4 bars and great food specials. Happy hour is also among one of the best in DC. Happy hour is Monday-Friday from 4-7pm and includes $3 rail drinks, $2.50 house drafts and $1 off all drinks. They also have some great food selections including $.15 cent wings on Tuesdays and 1/2 pizzas and free pool on Mondays. The Big Hunt is also a go to place for football sundays. - Description: The Raven has been a favorite DC bar since the 1930's, and continues to be high on the locals list of dive bars. A typical dive bar, even written on a bathroom wall states the following: 'If you took a cab here, you don't belong here' which is quite true. But if you're looking for cheap drinks, cheap food and a fun atmosphere with a good jukebox, this is your spot.

- Description: Tune Inn is one of the greatest neighborhood bars in DC. It's actually become a kind of institution. National magazines such as Esquire, among several others, have named it one of the best bars in the country. A fun fact is that JFK frequently ate at the Tune while he was in the Senate. It is said he always sat in the second booth on the left. Also note that Tune Inn was just included in a new book of the 100 best burger places in the country.
